A New Year's Message from the President.
Dear Derbyshire Golfers
Now that 2023 is well under way, I hope you are all ready and looking forward to your golf in the forthcoming season.
All details of Derbyshire matches, competitions and events can be found within the website. I hope that the level of support given to these events will be at least as much as that received last year. All County Competitions can be entered online.
On a similar note, the organisation for the Derbyshire County Dinner is well under way. This is on Friday March 3rd at the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield. Details have been sent to all clubs and it would be great to see a good number of clubs represented.
For the 2023 golf season, I wish all clubs, teams and officials a successful year. It would be good to build on the successes of the County Teams, in particular the Men's 1st Team who had a remarkable season and qualified for the England Golf County Finals at Royal Norwich, the first time since 1999.
The positions of the DCG officials and County Captains will be formally ratified at the County AGM on Monday 6th March at Chevin GC. I wish all every success with their roles.
