Chevin hosted 38 of the best golfers in the County on Sunday 22nd June. The course was in great condition and as usual provided a stern test in a strong breeze coupled with heavy showers for the later starters.
The Henriques is awarded to the lowest gross by a player under 25 years of age and not having already gained county colours. The Leo Feeney trophy is for those not qualifying for the Henriques.
Gavin Ingram (Kedleston Park) took home the Henriques with a two over par 72. He overcame a lost ball at the second and finished in style with an eagle three at the par 5 18th. Chevin's Tom Allen was one shot back after a 73.
There was a 3 way tie for the Leo Feeney between Jamie Boler (Morley Hayes), Alex Sowter (Erewash Valley) and County Captain Tommy Kemp (Matlock). The three first team regulars tied on level par 70, just one ahead of Chevin General Manager Dan Housley and Burton's Joe Clarke.
At the presentation the players thanked the referee and ball spotters who volunteered throughout the day.
