Edith wins the Junior Spring
A good number of Juniors contested the Junior Spring Meeting on Bank Holiday Monday.
Thanks to Alfreton for the use of the facilities, members who kindly raked the bunkers beforehand, the Stewards for keeping all fed and watered and referee Nick.
The overall nett winner was Kedleston Park golfer, Edith Fisher who carded a 67 and pipping Elliott Clark from Chesterfield over the back 9 holes.
Ben Wharton from Chesterfield recorded the best gross on the day of 76.
The Duffield Shield (awarded to the club with the best 3 nett scores) was won by Chesterfield GC. Elliott Clark, Evie Hunt and Olivia Barker-Sabido were the golfers. They will go on to represent Derbyshire in the England Golf Junior Champion Club, to be hosted by Spalding GC.
