Ian Glover, a former Captain of Derbyshire (2004-2007) and of Burton on Trent Golf Club (2019), has passed away.

Ian's funeral will take place on 5th September at 2.15pm at Bretby Crematorium, Burton upon Trent DE15 0QE and then afterwards at Burton upon Trent Golf Club,43 Ashby Road East, DE15 0PS. Ian made his debut for Derbyshire Men in 1998 and played the odd game over the next few years
until he was appointed County Captain in 2004. He then played very regularly and attained
his County Colours in 2007, his last year of Captaincy. His best County victory occurred in 2005
when he became the Derbyshire Open Champion (Orr Cup) whilst Captain.
Since his Captaincy, he had represented Derbyshire Seniors in a fair number of matches.
