Derbyshire County Golf
A win for Will and Imogen retains her title!
A superb field of golfers contested the Derbyshire Amateur Championships at Chapel-en-le-Frith on Saturday 27th May. The Men's Trophy was won by Will Harvey of Kedleston Park GC by one shot from the County Captain, Nick Newbold and local boy Harry Hibbert. Imogen Rafferty (Breadsall Priory), recently returned from college in the USA successfully retained her title won last year at Kedleston. Kedleston Park won the Union Shield, whilst Chesterfield captured the Scratch Team Cup for the first time since 1932. Mel Davey of Chesterfield recorded the rare bird of an albatross at the 1st hole!
